FAQ
The first visit will involve gathering information, discovering details, and understanding the biomechanics of your injury. If time permits, he will begin the process of working on you. Eventually, there will be a deeper exploration of your ”WHY” — the fundamental motivation behind your health and life.
Your 'WHY' is the ultimate motivation for everything you do. It dictates how you engage and what you aim to achieve throughout your life. It will also shape your healing collaboration during your time with Michael. If you don’t know WHY you want to feel better or strive for peak performance, neither will Michael. Your WHY will create a mutual compass to guide the both of you in your process.
Dr. Michael Luan, D.C. is well-versed and certified in Applied Kinesiology (AK), Sacro-Occipital Techniques (SOT), drop table therapy, flexion distraction, functional stretching, activity-specific training, and Eastern Medicine. He has also worked for many years alongside orthodontists to take a functional approach to mechanics of the body goes through during orthodontic treatment.
Michael has a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering, a Master’s in Oriental Medicine, and a Doctor of Chiropractic. He also possesses a strong background in biomechanics and body communication. For 25 years, he has taught the biomechanics of movement to fitness professionals and yoga instructors, as well as group fitness, and has practiced martial arts for over 30 years.
This is highly dependent on your goals and your 'WHY.' Most academic quarters last 6 to 8 weeks, while semesters typically last 8 to 12 weeks. This time frame is known as the physiological response, which refers to how your body reacts to the positive stress of learning something new. Therefore, it is approximately one to two times a week for 6 to 12 weeks to achieve the positive changes you seek, depending on your motivation and the goals you set with Michael Luan.
